Super Junior "Mr. Simple" claims No. 1 spot on Taiwan's weekly music charts

The latest album by Korean boy band Super Junior has taken over the top spot on Taiwan's weekly music charts, according to the respective charts.

The official website of Taiwan's G-MUSIC, FIVE MUSIC and KuangNan revealed that Super Junior's fifth full-length album "Mr. Simple," which went on sale in the country on September 6, claimed the No. 1 spot of the weekly charts during the week of September 2 to 8.

In the meantime, "Mr. Simple" maintained its position in first place on Korea's Hanteo's abum chart for the fifth consecutive week since its local release on August 3.

The boys have also managed to take home several awards on televised music programs such as KBS' "Music Bank," SBS' "Inkigayo" and Mnet's "M! CountDown."

"Mr. Simple" sings of the reality where modern day people, from living in a complex world, forget about love, dreams and having a sense of achievement with work.

Super Junior has been one of the most popular K-pop bands in the world since their debut in 2005, having released a number of hit songs such as "Don't Don," "Sorry Sorry" and "BONAMANA" which have topped a number of music charts in Korea and in the Asia region.
