SUPER JUNIOR and B2ST’s tight match on Melon Music Award Top 10

SUPER JUNIOR and B2ST are running neck and neck in a vote on Melon Music Award Top 10.
SUPER JUNIOR obtained 18% and B2ST obtained 15% of the online vote from 27 October.
TVXQ obtained 12%, INFINITE obtained 11% and 2PM obtained 8%. The followings are the next ranking. f(x), BIG BANG, CNBLUE, IU, Jung Hyun Park, 2NE1, T-ara, GIRL’S DAY, Huh Gak, 4Men, SECRET, Davichi, GD&TOP, Kim Bum Soo and Miss A.
This first round of online vote based on the number of streaming (40%), the number of downloaded music file (50%) and SKT wireless coefficient of utilization (10%) will last until 6 November. Top 10 will be chosen based on the first round of online vote (20%), and the sound source score (80%).
Melon Music Award 2011 will be held at the Gymnastics Stadium in Olympic Park on 24 November.

Kyuhyun admits to plastic surgery

Super Junior‘s Kyuhyun unintentionally admitted to having undergone double-eyelid plastic surgery.
On the episode of ‘Golden Fishery – Radio Star‘ that aired on the 26th, the MCs questioned singer Kim Gun Mo in regards to the rumors of his plastic surgery.
Kim Gun Mo quickly showed the MC’s his eyes, and once they informed him that he would look better without double eyelids, he remarked, “That’s why I didn’t get it done“.
The MCs then turned their attention to Kyuhyun, asking how he acquired such double eyelids. Startled and flustered, Kyuhyun began stuttering and couldn’t speak clearly. Shocked, the MCs demanded to know if he had undergone the knife.
“Both my parents have double eyelids,” he explained. “I was the only one that didn’t,” he continued, admitting to surgery.

Super Junior celebrate the ending of 5th album promotions.

On October 16th, Super Junior celebrate the end of ‘Mr Simple’ activities.
Super Junior release their 5th album ‘Mr Simple’ in August. Since then they have been involved in promotion activities of 5th album.
Recently, Super Junior members tweeted and told about their feelings with the ending of 5th album activities. Firstly leader Leeteuk tweeted,“Today we complete our 5th album promotions. 3 moths were so happily spend with you all, we will return with World Tour… Let’s go fans and make a history!! I love you all” He further wrote, “wait for Super Junior, we will be together forever……… SJ & ELF <3″
After that SJ member Eunhyuk tweeted a group photo of members celebrating at a restaurant, he wrote, “We have conclude the 5th album activities!! Thank you everyone…!! we didn’t wait for the members who went to bathroom”
To Eunhyuk’s tweet Ryeowook replied, “Without me! It was a day of eating alot… I eat well”
Super Junior Yesung also tweeted, “With Donghae for the last broadcast. We are really thankful and blissful with all your love… we would repay you all”

Entertainer Boom and Super Junior Leeteuk debuted as joint emcees successfully.
Leeteuk and Boom successfully started their careers as emcees on SBS’s Star King, which aired on the 15^th.
They first showed up in the middle of cheerleaders’ performance and showed a lift as if they were part of the team. They succeed quite hard performance perfectly as cheerleaders were spurting them.
Star King’s Panel, inclusing Jo Hae Ryun and more, gave a round of standing ovation to see the new emcees’ performance.
Leeteuk expressed his passion, saying “I will try my best to give best, healthy laugh.” Boom said, “You, viewers are the lead role of the Srar King. I will try my best to support you.”

Super Show 4 is here!

Yes! This is finally true! These past days, fans are getting eager and eager when the
news about the Super Show 4 came out in public. But this time, there will be a twist.
A bigger and bolder concert will be held not only here in Asia, but also in other
countries in the world. International E.L.F.s are really excited since this would be
the first time that the boys will hold a World Tour.

Last year, Super Junior held their concert in 13 countries and performed 20 shows
for ‘Super Show 3″. This year, they will be expected to visit some countries here in
Asia, but as well in some parts of Europe and America. “Super Show 4″ will kick-off
its first stop in Seoul on November 19 and 20 at the Olympic Park Stadium. It will be
followed on December 10 and 11 at Kyocera Dome in Osaka.

Super Junior, MBLAQ, & SHINee to transform into top 90s idol stars

Hallyu stars Super Junior, MBLAQ & SHINee transform into 90′s KPOP stars for Moon Night 90!
‘Moon Night 90′ is a new fictional drama on Mnet, using old-school Kpop as it’s subject material. The episodes feature today’s hottest celebs acting out fictional episodes at the then-popular Itaewon club, Moon Night.
The show is sure to be a hit with those who are currently in their 20s~30s, as old-school Kpop names like Hyun Jin Young, Deux, Seo Taiji & Boys, Clon, DJ DOC, R.ef, & SOLID bring back nostalgic memories. These groups were the roots that sprouted the Kpop wave.
Today’s top idol stars sing and dance to the classic music that was once performed by their seniors of 10+ years, and the series aims to tell the stories of the greatest dance artists of the 90s and their rise to stardom.
In the preview episode, the story unfolds as Watanabe Susuke from a Japanese broadcasting company comes to Korea to cover a story on the ever-popular Kpop, further putting Korean music in the spotlight.
The first episode told the story of Hyun Jin Young’s first steps to fame. He is performing at Moon Night where he is approached by a representative from SM Entertainment. He auditions for founder Lee Soo Man and becomes the first artist to ever debut under their label. Super Junior’s Shindong played the part of Hyun Jin Young evoking much laughter from the audience, while MBLAQ‘s Thunder and Seungho played the role of CLON, and SHINee‘s Taemin & Key played the roles of Deux.
The series was produced by PD Park Junsu of ‘UV Syndrome‘ while the title soundtrack “Moon Night” was written, composed & sang by none other than UV. Lee Hyundo also makes a rap featuring in the track.
The song was revealed for the first time on set and UV stated, “I wanted to express my respect for Deux while praising the music of the 90s era… We introduce a lot of familiar names in the song.”

Kyuhyun really looks like Changmin and Lee Jong Hyun?

At 9:06 p.m. on October 11, Kyuhyun, one of the members of Super Junior, tweeted photos with the comment: “One day I was startled to see the photo TVXQ’s Changmin sent to me. In about five minutes, I got a similar one from CN Blue’s Lee Jong Hyun. Once again I was all choked.”
The photos turned out to be the results from MyHeritage.com, a popular entertainment computer program of hunting for a similar celebrity as each user. When TVXQ’s Changmin and CN Blue’s Jong Hyun put their photos into the program, the result turned out Kyuhyun. More surprisingly, the match rates for both of them were 100 percent.
People who saw the photos left responses: “There’s nothing new that you handsome guys have something in common.” “How about putting your photo into the program? The result might be one of the two. Which do you like better, Changmin or Jong Hyun?”
Meanwhile, Kyuhyun rolled up his sleeves up to support Siwon, who currently plays in Poseidon, by singing one of the theme songs for the drama series.

Donghae wants to be a father soon

Super Junior Lee Donghae revealed his thought of becoming a father.
On October 11th, Super Junior Donghae was appointed as UNICEF envoy with Seohyun. At the UNICEF envoy appointment ceremony in an interview with Donghae, he was asked about his affection towards children. He said, “I have always liked children so much and I want to be father soon. They look like angels to me. I always think when I’ll be able to have children and be a good father.” 
Moreover, Donghae and Seohyun have been appointed as UNICEF envoys for their recent duet “Dreams come true” which is the theme song of “2011 Asian Song Festival”. They will donate the proceedings to help suffering African children.

On the 11th, Donghae attended an appointment ceremony for the festival.

Leeteuk and Kang Sora meet for the first time on ‘We Got Married’

Super Junior‘s Leeteuk and Kang Sora had their first awkward encounter as the new couple of the popular show, ‘We Got Married‘.
On the episode of MBC‘s ‘We Got Married’ that aired on October 8th, Leeteuk and Kang Sora had met for the first time after much anticipation from the fans.
When they finally met in the empty movie theater, Leeteuk blushed and frantically looked around, garnering much laughter from the audience. Leeteuk then finally said, “Are you going to be my wife? Thank you.” To which Kang Sora confessed, “I woke up from my sleep a several times last night” while blushing.
Kang Sora also added, “I read the articles but there were a few other girls that were on the news as well so I wasn’t too sure“. Leeteuk, not knowing what to do or say, blurted out “You’re very pretty” in order to express his feelings, but the awkward tension still prevailed.
During the interview after their meeting, Leetuek commented, “I had prepared some stuff before the meeting but as soon as I saw her, my mind went blank“.
The members of Super Junior also expressed their languish as they monitored their leader struggle through the first date.

Super Junior unveils teaser video for Japanese version of “Mr. Simple”

Super Junior would be releasing “Mr. Simple“ as their second Japanese single. It has just been confirmed that the boys will release the single on December 7th (Digital Single on October 19th), and they’ve also melted the hearts of ELFS by revealing a teaser video!
Furthermore, three different versions of the single will be unleashed, including: limited edition with CD + DVD, regular edition with CD + DVD, and lastly CD + DVD only. All three will come with both, the Korean and Japanese version of “Mr. Simple”, as well as another song yet to be announced. The limited version’s DVD will contain four different versions of the “Mr. Simple” music video, as well as the behind-the-scenes clip. A randomly selected photo card, out of the possible 10, will also be packaged with the limited edition, as well as the CD + DVD version. ">

Super Junior’s Donghae and SNSD’s Seohyun will sing the theme song for ’2011 Asia Song Festival’.
On the 6th, according to KOFICE, Donghae and Seohyun will sing the theme song “Dreams Come True” at the festival, which will be held at Daegu Stadium, on the 15th.
Cho Young Soo, who wrote many hit songs, composed “Dreams Come True”. The song includes bright and cheerful melodies that many foreign fans can sing along together. Seohyun’s clean tone and Donghae’s emotional voice complement the song.

Poseidon’s Lee Si Young senses Choi Siwon’s feeling about her

Lee Si Young sensed Choi Si Won’s feeling about her.
In KBS drama Poseidon, aired on the 4th, Soo Yun (played by Lee Si Young) turned on her cell phone after a boxing fight with Sun Woo (played by Choi Si Won) and got surprised by several missed calls and text messages sent from Sun Woo. Realizing that Sun Woo had been worried about her very much, she was deeply touched by him.
Soo Yun sounded him out bashfully saying, “I got so many missed calls and text messages from you. Don’t worry. Sometimes I just turn off my cell.” Sun Woo, caught his feeling about her, just smiled hesitantly.

Leeteuk nervous about emceeing ‘Star King’

Super Junior’s Leeteuk recently expressed his feelings about emceeing Star King.
On the 3rd, Leeteuk tweeted, “It’s today. I will shoot Star King today. Even though I have been appearing on the show for four years, it’s a new challenge. I’m nervous but I will do my best. Please support me.”
Leeteuk will emcee SBS’s Star King with Boom. Officials for the show decided the two stars will take over as MCs for Kang Ho Dong.
An official said, “We thought about replacing Kang with another MC but Leeteuk has led the program with Kang for a long time and Boom has been very active on the show. That’s why we chose them as MCs for the show.”
Leeteuk and Boom will emcee the show on October 3, and the program will air on October 15.

Super Junior leader Leeteuk is shooting for Star King these days. He is selected as co MC with Boom.
Although Leeteuk had done ‘Star King’ for four years, he seemed a bit nervous about his performance. He wrote on his twitter, ” Today is Star King’s shooting, I have done it four years, but tomorrow, I’ll face some new challenges. I am nervous, but will focus on the challengers… Please cheer for me! Choi Siwon focuses on ‘Poseidon’

Singer and actor Choi Siwon recently decided to focus more on his TV series Poseidon.
Choi is currently playing the role of maritime police officer Kim Sun Woo in KBS’s Monday-Tuesday series Poseidon. Even though Choi’s group Super Junior is busy with their new song “A-CHa”, Choi is trying hard to focus on performing for the series.
Choi said, “I was worried about appearing on the series because Super Junior’s schedule overlapped. But I really wanted to appear on the series after I heard about the synopsis, director, and writers.”
Choi also talked about the other actors on the program, Lee Sung Jae and Lee Si Young. He said, “Sung Jae is a great actor. He advises me a lot and cheers me up as well.”
He added, “Si Young is also helping me a lot to perform comfortably. Sometimes, her punches really hurt.”
The production company said, “Choi is doing a great job playing the role. Please keep watching the series and check out Choi’s variety of charms through the series.”
Poseidon airs every Monday and Tuesday at 9:55 p.m.

YG Band and Super Junior support K-Pop Star on October 2

YG Band(Yoon Do Hyun’s Band) and Super Junior prepared a cheering performance stage for SBS’s K-Pop Star.

Their performance will take place as a special opening stage for SBS’s Survival Audition K-Pop Star on October 2 at 11:30 am at Jamsil Stadium. This is to cheer up audition participants who will start their auditions from October 1.

YG Band and Super Junior are main supporters of K-Pop Star, which Korean big 3 music productions SM-YG-JYP are involved.

Main MC, Yoon Do Hyun, will perform ‘I am a butterfly’ and ‘Stay alive,’ and Super Junior is planning to heat up the stage with ‘A-Cha’ and ‘Sorry Sorry’. Besides this, a flash mob of the globally loved K-pop song ‘Sorry Sorry’ is also prepared.

In this audition, professional trainers of new singers from SM, YG, and JYP will participate as judges and at least 10 thousand people are expected to come to this audition a day.

Including, this domestic audition, K-Pop Star will tour South America, New York, Paris, and China for overseas auditions, and selected candidates from these auditions will appear on the main stage, which will take place on November, to perform in front of SM’a BOA, YG’s Yang Hyun Suk, and JYP’s Park Jin Yeong.

Recently K-Pop Star has successfully finished North America, New York, and LA auditions, and will continue overseas auditions in Paris and China.
